Coaching is about working with you in partnership to enable you to achieve results and goals in your personal or work life. It is a structured process that can involve a range of techniques used on their own or blended together to enhance self-awareness, encourage learning and elicit insights on which to act. The style I use is conversational and includes asking questions, inviting reflection and following your interest whilst all the time holding your goal in mind.
Coaching can be used effectively one-to-one or in groups on personal or work issues or combining both to achieve the right work-life balance. One-to-one coaching is a supportive process which can enhance your self-esteem and confidence and motivate you to accomplish specific personal or work ambitions. The only requirements are that you want to do this for yourself, that the goal is within your control and that it is realistic even if it may seem challenging. One-to-one coaching sessions can also be incorporated into training programmes.
Coaching principles also underpin all my work in training and development. Working in partnership with businesses I design and deliver high quality bespoke programmes with an experiential flavour. Combining practical experiences with structured reviews encourages higher levels of engagement from the participants and makes the learning more real and easier to transfer. By skilfully using all my learning and development expertise, my leadership experience, my curiosity and passion, I bring a personal touch to the training programmes.
I use a range of techniques in my work including Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP is the study of what works in thinking, language and behaviour. By understanding how our nervous system and thinking works (neuro) in combination with how we use language and communication (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and habits (programming), we are able to make changes quickly and easily.
