About me

I have over 18 years’ experience in training and development
working with individuals and teams at all levels in the business and across a range of sectors.

Margaret-Rose-Johnson

In my training work I draw upon a rich education and career history.

My academic qualifications include a degree in psychology, a master’s degree in development training and a master’s degree in mindfulness from Bangor University. My career has been diverse ranging from training to be a fashion designer to a range of challenging roles in a government department to instructing in Egypt and facilitating at Outward Bound.

My strengths and values include authenticity, curiosity and a love of learning. I’m a life-long learner who loves to read research papers, psychology books and poetry.

I live in Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District with my husband and cat. I am a keen scuba diver and instructor with thousands of dives under my weight-belt. I meditate every day and attend silent retreats to deepen and broaden my practice.

Mindfulness is embedded in my life and work.

My approach

My style is pragmatic, authentic and thoughtful.

My approach blends mindfulness with positive psychology and coaching principles. I draw upon a range of tried and tested theories, models, techniques and psychometrics. Every programme is designed and tailored to suit your particular circumstances, meet your special requirements and deliver your desired outcomes. By skilfully using my learning and development expertise, my leadership experience and mindful curiosity, I bring a personal touch to the training programmes.

Throughout I work in partnership with you. Beginning with understanding your unique issues and specific context and identifying clear and measurable outcomes. A clear learning and development structure supports my training programmes yet allows sufficient flexibility to respond to emerging needs within the group.

I am certified to offer a range of tests and psychometrics including:

  • Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS)
  • Values In Action Strengths Test (VIA)
  • Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI)
  • Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI)
  • Extended DISC Personal Analysis (EDISC)

Good practice

You can rest assured that I am trained to post-graduate level in mindfulness with several years of daily practice experience. I am committed to following good practice for teaching mindfulness-based courses, have regular supervision with a specialist and am insured.
